Netram conducted Free Medical Health Checkup Camp in Chandigarh

Netram Eye Foundation organized a Free Medical Health Checkup Camp for the newly elected health minister of Punjab in association with NSFKDC at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Sector-26, Chandigarh, on Saturday, 26TH March 2022. The Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virender Kumar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

It was an excellent opportunity to reach out to the beneficiaries of SCs, BCs, PWDs, and Safai Karamcharis in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh (UT).

A team of 7 Doctors, including a gynecologist, ophthalmologist, general physician, and other paramedical staff, checked more than 570 people. The beneficiaries of the target groups of OBCs, SCs, Handicapped persons, Safai Karamcharis, Manual Scavengers, and waste pickers were provided free medicines, spectacles, and Certificates of 1 crore of Loans sanctioned; for various sustainable self-employment projects.

We thank NSKFDC (National Safai Karamcharis & Finance Development Corporation) and Govt. of Punjab for giving us the opportunity and helping us keep the flair of social welfare.
